Leinster Bay Plantation ruins, US Virgin Islands National Park

Located approximately 200 yards into the brush behind Waterlemon Bay, you’ll find an impressive, rambling set of plantation era ruins. Leinster Bay Plantation includes a 70′ by 108′ long Sugar Factory Building, an 7-‘ diameter “animal round” used to grind the sugar cane for production. and a 16′ high well that’s northeast of the factory.

Just behind the beach at Waterlemon, visitors will see a 52’ trough of island stone, coral rubble and plaster.

Please note: This set of ruins is not stabilized; and much of it is covered in spiny/thorny growth.
